The NXM night vision device is equipped with a powerful generation 2+ (high performance) image intensifier. The device is absolutely convincing and offers a multiplicity of attractive features. It is very compact and versatile, very light, user friendly and of course also very robust. Last but not least, it is with distance the best device in its price class. The performance and picture quality is ways better than with the old MX-9916 units with image intensifiers, even the built-in image intensifier is far more reliable in contrast to the aforementioned MX-9916. The housing is made of a very resistant metal and was designed in such a way that it does not waste lots of space and therefore it is very compact and light. For the power supply a 1.5V AA battery is used. Of course, the device the device can be operated with a rechargeable AA battery. There is also a stage infrared spotlight with a wavelength of 880nm installed. If this is in operation it is indicated on the edge of the field of view using a red diode. The IR-headlight with a backup functionality is secured against accidental switching. Furthermore, the housing has two rails for the admission of extra accessories (a head mount, mounting, external IR-headlight etc). This rail has been made of a very durable material and thus also holds strong loads. The eyepiece is made of a very soft plastic and adapts itself to the contours of the eyes ideal, the comfort is thus significantly increased. The dioptre compensation is provided with a scale, the correct attitude therefore is easier.
